Jail

In multiple DUIs or in DUIs with injury accidents it becomes critical to demonstrate to the Court that you are dealing with your issues with alcohol or drugs. The system is much more sympathetic to someone who is able to recognize that they have a problem and who cares enough to do something about that problem.

Many times people are in denial or have too much pride to admit that alcohol or drugs have taken them down a destructive road. Our experience is that 100% of humans have had something happen to them in life that has caused them or act out or go down this destructive pathway. Once this is recognized something can be done about. The peace of mind that comes from finally dealing with these issues is priceless.

Getting into a treatment program could be the best thing you have ever done. Not only will you feel much better about yourself but you will place yourself in the position to request an alternative sentence. Once you have taken the giant step to get treatment the Court will be receptive to recognizing that you are worthy of an alternative to jail. Your lawyer will be more likely to be successful in seeking 1) trading jail time for rehabilitation program time, 2) trading probation time for rehabilitation program time or, 3) receiving treatment instead of incarceration.

More importantly you will discover how to break the cycle and break the hold that alcohol or drugs has over you. You will learn how to enjoy living without the need to medicate yourself through intoxication. And you will see a new you; A new you that you will like!!!
